Introduction

This is the documentation for Easy List Edit - an add-on for Jira that makes it possible to quickly edit issues in issue lists in Jira (Search for issues, Epic list and the Subtask list).

Getting started

An administrator installs the plugin through the Addons section of Jira, or by downloading a version from the add-on page on Atlassian Marketplace.

After that, a license needs to be installed, or a trial to start with.

Usage (how do I edit)

With a valid license, the plugin works out of the box, in the following parts of Jira:

  • Search for Issues (also known as Issue Navigator). Go here at choose List View, instead of Detail View.

  • Subtask list. Eg. browse an issue that has subtasks, and then edit subtask fields directly in that list.

  • Epic list. Browse an Epic issue, that has linked issues.

An actual edit works by hovering a cell of one of the columns (of a supported field, see below). A pencil icon will show up. Click that, and the cell transform into a mini editor, which look depends on the field type. E.g. for assignee, you get a User selector, and for Due Date you can a Date Picker field.

    • Business Value

    • Story Points

  • Text/multi-line customfields

  • Single/multi selection customfields

  • Cascaded field customfields

  • Date + Date time customfields
